FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY
Fine art photography is about photographs created to fulfill an artistic vision and made to be collected and displayed as art.
In my landscape and nature photography, I try to capture something of the essence of a place. I aim to create an image through which I can share the beauty of the landscapes and nature as I see them. My photographs faithfully present my vision of the landscape. I hold to the "truth in photography" ethic whereby I do not add anything that was not originally there. At the same time I believe the creative process does not stop with the click of the shutter and I do all of my own post-processing in order to bring my vision to life.
Fine art photography is not simply beautiful on your wall, but highly collectable too. My fine art prints are limited to editions of no more than 200, and are printed with archival pigment-based inks on fine art paper, artist matte canvas or high quality glossy photo paper.

I was born in Leigh Creek, in the far north Flinders Ranges, and grew up with this amazing landscape all around me. I left to go to university, and chase other ideas, travel and adventure, even as far as a few years in Switzerland, but the Flinders would always be "home" for me. I'm glad to finally be home again, pursuing something that I really enjoy, and making a contribution to this beautiful region.
2008, my first year as a professional photographer, was a wonderful success, with many new experiences, seemingly endless positive feedback, and culminating in a professional photography award for one of my landscapes. In 2009 I built on this success with an ever-growing portfolio of great images and three more professional awards. 2010 will be a big year for me, in particular with the release of my first book of photography - Child's Play in a Timeless Land and plans to extend my landscape portfolio beyond the Flinders Ranges.
